A memorable free-flowering rose that blooms her heart out. I never worry about not having a fresh flower on this plant. The mango-orange and peach-pink petals make it stand out in the garden. The rose blooms are ruffled and are a favorite whenever visitors walk in the garden or when I’m looking to photograph some new roses.
It’s not a towering plant that requires a lot of room. Instead, it fits perfectly in my raised bed next to my east property line. The roses in my east bed don’t receive as much direct light because of how the sun moves across my property. I’ve read that it accepts partial shade and a little less direct sunlight. That appears to be true.
This is another plant that I like to see when the blooms age. Like the Rosie The Riveter rose, I enjoy how the colors change and the ruffled blooms relax to allow me to see the rose differently. The best way to describe the matured version is to say the older rose is more “artsy”.
