It’s tough to keep up with this rose. There are so many blooms, and it seems I’m constantly removing older flowers to make room for the new roses. Fragrant Cloud emits a powerful perfume that you can’t help but notice when you’re passing her. Its fragrance is often described as a mix of citrus, spice, fruit, and damask rose. The rose grows to about 5 feet tall, and its blooms are extremely large, measuring 5-6 inches each.
I’ve had a Fragrant Cloud rose in my garden since 2020. It only took one season for me to give it a spot near the walkway to ensure we always benefited from its strong scent as we passed. The rose is in a raised bed near the patio, so we can admire the coral-orange blooms and their perfume.
