Phoenix Rose Society Shows You How to Easily Grow Roses

The Phoenix Rose Society is a group of local rose growers that love to share their rose knowledge and help you grow healthy roses.

An affiliate of the American Rose Society (ARS), since 1958, the club serves the Phoenix (AZ) metropolitan area by arranging regular monthly rose education meetings to benefit the local community as well as Society members. Additionally, it provides hands-on training to interested volunteers wishing to help with pruning and deadheading the more than 700 roses at the Valley Garden Center’s Rose Garden.

Society members also share their love of roses with communities throughout Arizona and the Southwest. Several members of the Phoenix Rose Society are ARS certified Consulting Rosarians, and are qualified horticulture, arrangement, and photography judges at numerous rose shows throughout the Pacific Southwest District of the ARS.

Phoenix Rose Show in April

Each year the Phoenix Rose Society hosts a rose show at the Valley Garden Center. The day-long show typically occurs on the second Saturday of April and is always open to the community.

Mark April 12, 2025 on your calendar, and plan to attend our next show. The show boasts some of the best exhibitors in Arizona and often includes rosarians from California. The exhibits featuring horticulture, arrangement, and photography classes are open to the public from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

We hope you will join us either as an exhibitor or as a lover of roses. Either way, please stop by and take a peek at the excellent examples of America’s floral emblem – the rose.

Phoenix Rose Society Holiday Tea to be held December 15, 2024

Holiday Tea - December 15

The Phoenix Rose Society is looking forward to sponsoring this year’s Holiday Tea on December 15, 2024. The event is a fantastic way to end the current rose year and celebrate the holiday season with friendly rosarians, which have made past tea’s so memorable.

The annual event is a Phoenix Rose Society holiday tradition. Details about this event, to include ticket sales, will be released early this fall when all the plans are in place.

Attend our next meeting

The Phoenix Rose Society meets at 7:00 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of the month (Except for July, August, and December). The meetings are open to all interested community members. It’s a great chance to hear tips that will help you with your roses, and you will meet several Consulting Rosarians that will happily share their knowledge and experience with you.

You can join us at the Valley Garden Center, which is located on the Western edge of Encanto Park in the heart of Phoenix.
