I love this rose’s strong, fruity, spicy fragrance as I walk past it each morning. I know this rose should produce a lavender bloom, but I’ve never gotten my plant to show such a flower. Mine are always white with pink highlights. The only pictures I’ve seen of this phenomenon are in Northland Rosarian’s online catalog. (I bought mine at Berridge Nurseries). I moved the plant this year because it was too close to the Painted Porcelain rose, which looks similar… but different. I know other references to this rose talk about how strong the lavender/magenta color becomes in cooler weather. Something I don’t ever see in Arizona. BTW it’s supposed to hit 100° in Scottsdale by mid-week.
