Poet’s Wife (AUSwhirl) is a David Austin rose that my wife and I saw at the Portland Rose Garden last summer. I was advised to find one for our garden. There was certainly no argument from me concerning adding another rose to our garden.
I especially like the deep yellow of the cupped form, which is surrounded by a ring of easygoing white petals. I’ve seen good growth of the shrub this season and am looking forward to next year when it is well-rooted in its container.
